What it funds

Official synopsis as published by the agency, formatted for readability.

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) will award a cooperative agreement to continue the activities of the National Gang Center. The Center provides training and technical assistance to OJP-funded programs and communities across the country, tracks current research and trends on gangs, and maintains a database of comprehensive information on the development and implementation of effective gang prevention, intervention, and suppression strategies. Many of these strategies and effective programs are on the Center's Strategic Planning Tool that is designed to help communities assess and address local gang problems.
