How it makes and monitors grants (Schedule I, Part IV)

One mission, inc. receives funding requests from current and potential partners annually and conducts due diligence to be sure the recipient's programmatic activities align with the goals of the organization. all funding proposals are reviewed at a board meeting before grants are approved by a board vote. grant checks are not issued until a grant agreement (which specifies the purpose, conditions and deliverables of the grant) is executed. one mission, inc. requires regular communication throughout the duration of the grant, as well as an annual stewardship report. one mission, inc. also receives requests for assistance from individuals through our good box care package, heart to heart and never alone fund programs. all individuals requesting assistance must complete an application to be considered, and assistance will not be granted without confirmation of diagnosis from a medical professional. junior good boxes (kid care packages) include goods only (toys, games, etc.). good boxes (parent care packages), however, include a small gift card which can be used at the recipient's discretion. for heart to heart and the never alone fund, all assistance is paid directly to the vendor (never to the individual), ensuring the funds are used for their intended purpose.
