Plan ahead
Upcoming grants
Grant programs that are closed now but post at about the same time every year. Start preparing before the notice is out: registrations, partners and budgets take weeks.
161 recurring programs are forecast to open again, 17 of them within the next 90 days. Dates are estimates calculated from each program's past postings.
37 expected to open — next 6 months
Forecasts are calculated by GrantsJunction from past posting dates on Grants.gov and state portals and refreshed weekly. They are not agency announcements. Open a program to see the dates each estimate is based on.
About grant forecasts
How does GrantsJunction predict when a grant will open?
Most grant programs post once a year at about the same time. GrantsJunction groups past postings of the same program (same agency, same title without the year) from Grants.gov's archive and state portals, and when a program has posted in at least two recent years at a consistent time of year, it estimates the next opening from that pattern. Each estimate lists the past dates it is based on.
How accurate are these forecasts?
They are estimates, not announcements. High confidence means at least three postings within about a month of each other; medium means at least two recent postings within about two months. Agencies can move dates, skip a year or end a program, and only the agency's posted notice is official.
How do I get notified when an upcoming grant opens?
Open the grant and choose “Watch for the next round”. It goes into your pipeline as Watching, and with a free funding profile we email you when the next round posts.
Why plan for grants before they open?
Many applications need weeks of preparation: SAM.gov registration, partner letters, matching funds and budgets. Programs often allow only 30 to 60 days between posting and the deadline, so organizations that start before the notice posts are better prepared.
