Additional information on eligibility (from the notice)

OJJDP is authorized to enter into cooperative agreements with, states (including territories), units of local government, federally recognized Indian tribal governments (as determined by the Secretary of the Interior), nonprofit and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit or for-profit organizations), and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education). For-profit organizations must agree to forgo any profit or management fee. Foreign governments, foreign organizations, and foreign institutions of higher education are not eligible to apply. OJJDP welcomes applications that involve two or more entities that will carry out the funded Federal award activities, however, one eligible entity must be the applicant and the other(s) must be proposed as subrecipient(s). The applicant must be the entity with primary responsibility for conducting and leading the program. If successful, the applicant will be responsible for monitoring and appropriately managing any subrecipients or, as applicable, for administering any procurement subcontracts that would receive federal program funds from the applicant under the award. OJJDP will consider only one application per lead applicant; however, subrecipients may be part of multiple proposals. OJJDP may elect to make awards for applications submitted under this solicitation in future fiscal years, dependent on, among other considerations, the merit of the applications and on the availability of appropriations.

What it funds

Official synopsis as published by the agency, formatted for readability.

OJJDP is seeking proposals to support the National Juvenile Justice Data Analysis Program—its central, primary source to conduct statistical analyses and disseminate juvenile justice data to the public. The activities completed under this program will assist OJJDP in fulfilling its responsibility to provide vital data to the field on juvenile well-being and risk behaviors, juvenile victimization and offending, the juvenile justice system’s response to law-violating behavior, and related issues. These important data inform juvenile justice policy and practice at the federal, state, and local levels.
