Program objective(s) description: Establish effective oversight of sports organizations by providing comprehensive training programs, policies, and standards to prevent abuse; develop background screening policies for new and existing USOPC and NGB organizational staff, including coaches, instructors and volunteers; oversee audits to ensure policies and procedures are followed correctly; ensure mechanisms are in place to report to investigative and prosecutorial authorities all forms of abuse; and establish best practices to address and support victims of abuse.
