Program objective
The goal of the TVTP Grant Program is to help recipients develop sustainable, multidisciplinary TVTP capabilities in local communities, pilot innovative prevention approaches, and identify prevention practices that can be replicated at minimal cost in communities across the country. Objectives: The TVTP Grant Program provides resources that support the eligible recipients in meeting the following objectives: a. Preventing Radicalization and Violence: Identifying and addressing factors that contribute to individuals or groups engaging in targeted violence or terrorism. b. Community-Based Approach: Partnering with local communities, organizations, and stakeholders to build resilience and enhance local prevention frameworks. c. Capacity Building: Providing training, resources, and technical assistance to equip communities, law enforcement, and other stakeholders with tools to identify and mitigate threats. d. Public Awareness: Raising awareness about the risks of targeted violence and terrorism and promoting early intervention strategies. e. Collaboration Across Sectors: Encouraging partnerships between federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial governments, as well as private sector and non-governmental organizations. f. Research and Innovation: Supporting evidence-based research to understand.
