Hospitals submit program transfer requests and supporting documentation using the "hshs foundation funds request" web platform. while the foundation policy does not allow for grants to outside individuals there are grants for colleague assistance which are minimal. the ceo of each hospital validates and approves local requests which are then advanced to the vice president of philanthropy for approval. program transfers up to $50,000 are approved by the president and/or treasurer of hospital sisters of st. francis foundation ("hssf"); transfers up to $100,000 are signed by the chairperson of hssf; transfers over $100,000 are submitted to the foundation board of directors for approval. upon approval by the foundation board, the approval is electronically documented in the program transfer platform. after all appropriate approvals, the foundation accountant reviews each program transfer request to determine that the expenses have been incurred, the supporting documentation is valid, and the receipts total the amount being requested for each program transfer. the accountant also reviews each hospital's monthly program transfer totals spreadsheet for accuracy of program transfer title, category and amount. the accountant prepares a program transfer sheet for each hospital with the month and amount for treasury to post. program transfers are submitted to the treasury department for posting each month. each monthly program transfer totals spreadsheet is sent to the respective hospit
