How it makes and monitors grants (Schedule I, Part IV)
Grant payments are made after grant approval. for grants with installments, payments are made after review of progress submitted by an agency. progress reports are reviewed for alignment with the original grant purpose as well as final reports must be submitted by the agencies to ensure they are providing the services per the approved grant. since 1942, individuals and organizations have trusted the hartford foundation to create scholarship funds for our local students. the individual scholarship program allows donors to work with the foundation to establish selection criteria and award amounts for each fund. students apply through hfpg's scholarship portal, which includes a series of questions to collect the information necessary to determine whether applicants meet the criteria for one or more scholarship funds. qualified applicants are then reviewed by designated selection committees and the scholarship recipients are selected. all scholarships are awarded on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis. all scholarship payments are made directly to the education institutions.
